Heavenly Father
Creator of the universe and all things within
We thank and praise you
You are the Alpha and Omega – beginning and end
You hold the world in your hands
We give you our worship and praise
Father we pray for the nation of Cambodia
A nation torn apart by genocide – and by civil war
We pray for the government – the Prime Minister – the king – for the healing of this land
We pray for your church – that it will be a light in the darkness
Father we ask that the chains that hold so many are broken
We remember those in prison
Those who are hungry
The poor and the broken hearted
Those who are persecuted
Lord we cry out to you for the children of this land
Many of whom are so brutally abused
We pray for an end to their exploitation and sexual abuse
Father, let the back of this terrible practice be broken
Let these children be rescued, delivered and healed
We pray for a full restoration in body, soul and spirit
Though we may never see one of these precious children – you see each one
Hear their cries oh God and set them free
Show them that though they have suffered at the hands of evil – they have value and redemption in Our Lord Jesus Christ
Reveal to them the depth of your love
Let the criminals who bring about such suffering be exposed and brought to justice
Father we pray for those who work to fight this evil
Give to them wisdom, compassion and strength
Bring about cooperation and unity of purpose – that you alone may be glorified
Lord we long to see a day when children are not sold into slavery
Father we thank you that all things are possible to those who love you – and live according to your purpose
We ask this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ
